Meetup

2 SPEAKERS

The format for the meetup is 2x tech talks, often one “hard” and one “soft” topic. Speakers have 30 mins + 15 mins for Q+A.

BEER + PIZZA

Beer on tap (!) , wine and soft drinks plus pizza from the Pizza Workshop – a cut above the usual fayre.

THEATRE-STYLE VENUE!

The Engine Shed seats around 80 comfortably … which is all well and good until we hit 100+ (which we sometimes do!). Come early!

Every first Thurs of the month @ Engine Shed, Bristol

TALK TYPES

What do we mean by “hard” and “soft” talks?

Bristech evolved from a software tip and so what we call a “hard” topic really means a nuts-and-bots how-does-it-work type talk.

This contrasts to a different type of talk that might draw on psychology, ethics or other humanities. We call that “soft”. In a good way.

Generally, we try to match a hard and soft talk at any single event.  People may come for one and get “exposed” to the other.

Forgive us for this shameless social engineering 😉
